A Songwriter’s Thoughts

Some people keep a journal or diary to collect their thoughts over time. Some people paint, photograph, sculpt, and creatively express what is stirring their souls.

A songwriter does the same. You can manufacture songs by formula or even use AI to write music. The true songwriter uses craft to make their deepest thoughts an audible expression of the times and the culture they are living in. That’s my belief anyway!

The war in Ukraine moves me to pray and support various aid organizations like Samaritan’s Purse with their medical facilities in Ukraine. Please do what you can to help Ukraine. After the genocide of Stalin, Russia’s nuclear mess at Chernobyl, and the horrific war crimes from Russia in the current war, the Ukrainian people have said enough and are standing up to Russia. They deserve our help and respect. Their dignity and courage in this most awful of times is inspiring. In support of Ukraine, I offer my song, No War Freedom, and the accompanying video.
