About

Been playing guitar and leading worship for a long, long time. First pro-studio recording at 18 so been doing that quite awhile, too! Spent a lot of years with IBM and AT&T in hardware and software technical. Love to write and record music of all styles, love playing for people, and love the other musicians I’ve been so fortunate to know and play with.

Glad to meet you, allow me to introduce myself to you…

Retirement from a career is truly a sweet time of life. Gratefully, I still have the health to do the so many things I am passionate about. It’s also great to have the time to learn new skills I now have the time to enjoy family and friends. When I started playing out at 12 or 13, i could not foresee the honor and pleasure of playing with so many other talented and creative musicians, in many bands and all kinds of venues. Especially precious is the honor of serving God and His people. In the mid-90’s, God tapped onto my telephone line, through music, and the wild ride of worship music began. Life is truly rich with so many incredible adventures and experiences. In the past few years, I’ve reconnected with some great players and producers from my earlier days. We are collaborating and recording music for ourselves, and for other people. There are new connections coming all the time with musicians in many genres. The fusion between styles and personalities makes for rich music. What you will find on this site is the evidence that what we do together is so much greater than what we can accomplish by ourselves. Community is vital. Come and see.

We’ll keep this music related. This is what the retired music me gets to do…

Make Music, All Sorts

Write, Record and Produce Music

Collaborate with other musicians virtually, writing, arranging and creating commercial pro-level songs.

Lead Worship and Play Guitar in worship, healing prayer, and non-worship settings

Help and encourage others

Enjoy it all

Past Experiences

Retired
(2014 to present)
Retirement allowed me the freedom to be involved in worship conferences all over the US. As the ministry developed, the conferences became pretty numerous, one about every 3-4 weeks. It was a good time of meeting many, many musicians, speakers, and church leaders. Music keeps me pretty busy in ‘retirement’ and the writing, recording and producing part has expanded. I have released a number of songs for myself and have done a fair amount of recording for friends and clients.

AT&T
(2006-2014)
My responsibilities at AT&T mostly continued my final IBM position of supporting Host Networking and TCPIP/VTAM system programming on Large Systems for customers worldwide. Usually, my work included working with international teams of people who were located all around the globe!

Guitarist for Power and Love, and City Quake
(2010-present )
Starting around 2010, I travel the US playing guitar in the worship segments at various conferences. My involvement in music and playing guitar, along with recording, audio engineering and production, really started around 1962. My involvement in worship and worship leading starting in the mid-1990’s. Always learning and building skills, just like in every position I’ve had in the past, is a major force in my life. Retirement from career positions gives me time to dig deeper into matters of songwriting, guitar skills, audio engineering, and faith. Friends acting as mentors are a huge piece of the learning continuum and it brings a great satisfaction to accomplishments done together and the resulting deepening friendships.

Rockbridge Seminary
(2009-2012)
Graduated from Rockbridge Seminary with a Diploma in Ministry Leadership in 2012.

Essentials with Worship Training and Dan Wilt
(2009-2012)
I completed the Essentials Courses in 2012 and still enjoy learning from Dan’s wisdom through his other courses, faith deepening articles and videos.

Lifehouse Church Church Worship Pastor
(2004-2008)
My responsibilities at Lifehouse was as the worship pastor. I developed the worship team, encouraged the musicians, developed the worship services and the worship theology of our church.

IBM
(1977 – 2006)
What a cool opportunity! I stuck my foot in the door with typewriters. Along the way, I got my hands on one of the first PCs, worked in Field Engineering on Large Systems hardware, consulted on mid-range computer software and networking. I supported various software products and networking support on all types of computers.
